It’s your car! It’s happened to me countless times and with countless cars; after tax-time, a big paycheck, paying off a bill that’s been riding your back for years, you’re riding the windfall of recent cash, just thinking maybe I’ll take that trip to Bora Bora I’ve been dreaming of, and then it hits: car trouble. That was my story yesterday; in the morning I acquired a new and lucrative contract, in the evening I’m sitting on the 405 during rush hour with a blown engine. $4,000 later and I say it again: if it’s not one thing it’s your car.
